Information about this item:
A two-month strike by the UAW against GM, begun in September 1970, served to delay an overdue body redesign of the A-body line, planned for 1972, until the 1973 model year.
Minor changes in the 1971 envelope included a new radiator grille treatment and front fender air extractors for the T41, "Endura Styling" option. Engine choices remained essentially unchanged.
The GTO reverted to an option package on the top-of-the-line LeMans hardtop coupe and post coupe body styles only. No more convertible GTO, since it, along with The Judge performance option, had been canceled mid-year in 1971.
