1967 Pontiac 2+2 - Refinement and Some Significant Changes

Though based upon the Catalina, the 2+2's look was closer to the upscale Grand Prix.
The 2+2 still packed plenty of punch with the optional 376 HP 428.

Information about this item:

The 2+2 remains on the shorter 121" Catalina wheelbase chassis for this year, and once again is still the big car's performance based package. The 2+2 option included as standard equipment: Deluxe wheel discs, Deluxe steering wheel, decor body moldings, bucket seat interior, 428 CID V8 engine moved up from the previous 421.

Also featured was a heavy duty 3-speed syncromesh transmission, dual exhaust, and H.D. suspension. A 4-speed and GM TH-400 Automatic were available as well as optional gear sets. A GTO-like hood tach was an option as well as a console and sport wheel.

Gone was the Tri-Power intake, based upon a GM mandate that only Corvette would have multiple carbs. The Quadrajet was adequate, and an extra 7 cubic inches helped, but the howl of the wide open 3x2-barrel carbs was gone.
