1968 Grand Prix Ads

As a result of limited sales figures in 1967, and the added expense of modifying the Catalina tail panel construction to accept the unique Grand Prix trunk lid and bumper, Pontiac dropped the Grand Prix convertible for 1968.

The hardtop version of Pontiac's personal luxury model did receive some special attention this year. Exclusive hideaway headlights and specific front grille were GP-only items as well as the already mentioned rear end treatment. Another GP exclusive was the "halo" vinyl roof covering treatment.

Like the rest of the '68 Pontiac line, the engine and transmission offerings were carried over from 1967.

Grand Prix production total: 31,711
