1967 Dodge Large Car Ads |
|||||
In the 1967 model year, the Polara and Monaco were the long wheelbase Dodge models, designed to compete with Pontiac and Mercury large cars. The Polara was the entry level, followed by the Monaco and the Monaco 500. Sales were underwhelming, dropping from 1966's 113,300 down to 66,910, due mostly to very dated styling (called "stodgy" by many). A much needed restyle was on the way.
