1967 Dodge Charger Ads

In the 1967 model year, Charger received only minor changes. New fender-mounted turn signals were introduced and this would serve as the main external identifier between a 1966 and 1967 models. A vinyl roof became available. The full length console was eliminated  - replaced with a regular sized console. Bucket seats were standard, but a folding armrest/seat and column shifter was an option.

The 440 CID 375 HP "Magnum" was added and the 361 CID V-8 was replaced with the 383 CID 325 HP engine. The 318 CID two-barrel "LA" Chrysler LA V-8 was now the base engine. This new 318 had wedge-shaped combustion chambers, unlike the previous 1966 polyspherical head V-8, and it was rated at 230 HP. The big boy, of course, was the 426 CID Street Hemi rated at 425 HP. Only 27 Chargers were equipped with the Hemi in this year.

Sales of the 1967 Chargers dropped to a total of 15,788 units.
