1934 Chevrolet Truck Ads

SEDAN DELIVERY - MODEL DA. During the early part of the 1934 model year, the Sedan Delivery was offered. This was moved to the Series DA passenger car line. The passenger style hood with three horizontal louvers was used. It had a 112.0" wheelbase - the same as 1934 Series DB 1/2-ton trucks.

1/2-TON LIGHT DELIVERY - SERIES DB. Dramatic new styling was a highlight of the 1934 Chevrolet trucks. Standard models had a hood with four vertical louvers that slanted slightly backwards. Deluxe models used the same front end trim parts, but they were painted on lower-priced trucks and plated on the higher priced ones.

1/2 TON and 1 1/2 TON HEAVY DUTY TRUCKS.  In both structure and appearance, the entire 1934 Heavy Duty truck line was entirely new. There were increases In loading space, from 17-32 percent in all panel, single unit express and pick-ups. Three separate chassis were included. The 1 1/2 Ton Truck was built on 131.0" and 157.0" wheelbases.

The half-ton Delivery truck had a wheelbase of 112.0". The 1/2 Ton Heavy Duty delivery truck was built on a special frame which was much heavier and stronger than the passenger car's.

157,507 Chevrolet Trucks of all sizes were produced in 1934.

The Automotive History Preservation Society Digital Documents Library provides these materials for educational, or research, or personal use. You should not republish these materials for financial gain without informing the original author or publisher.

Chevrolet Heavy Duty 1/2 Ton and 1 1/2 Ton Trucks were heavily re-engineered and restyled for 1934.
