1968 Buick Riviera Ads

The 1968 Riviera used the same body shell as the 1966-67 car, however it had a new front fascia. Large parking lamps were housed within the large bumper which also framed a low, textured grille. Headlamps retracted into the grille until activated. A wide, full-length lower body molding with bright wheel house moldings was employed. Riviera specific full wheel covers were fitted. "Riviera" lettering appeared on the front fenders and the rear deck. The standard interiors offered a choice between a bench or bucket seats in all-vinyl trim.

Plusher Custom grade interiors were offered with more ornate door panels incorporating the Riviera 'R' logo and plusher all-vinyl Strato-bench or bucket seats. Cloth and vinyl Strato-bench front seats was also an option. The GS model was still available.

Production for 1968 increased to 49,284 - up from 42,799. Since the restyle in 1966, the Riviera had not sold less than 42,000 units.
