Introduction Ad Copy for 1965 Mustang - J Walter Thompson Ad Agency

This original ad copy was created by the J Walter Thompson Ad agency for Ford Motor Company's Marketing Department. It is different from the print ad found in a publication because:

  • The sizing and colors are as created and not subject to the publication's printing variances.
  • The Ad copy indicates what magazines ran the Ad and the circulation of the Ad – this data is not available anywhere else
  • Many of the ads in this collection were run in obscure magazines or brochures and now not available 50 yrs later since the magazine/periodical run was small.

The Automotive History Preservation Society Digital Documents Library provides these materials for educational, or research, or personal use. You should not republish these materials for financial gain without informing the original author or publisher.

The landmark announcement "New Ford Mustang - $2368" And thus a new type of US car emerged. Others have been trying to catch up for half a Century!
