1969 Plymouth Barracuda Ads

After a banner year in sales when the new Barracuda body styles were introduced in 1967, output dipped for '68, then slipped even further for 1969. By the current year the car sold one half of what it did just two years ago - now 31,987 - down from 1967's 62,534.

It wasn't about the car's performance, it was about a look that was already dated. Something had to give, and the stylists were put to work. 1970 would see big changes.
