1933 Pontiac Advertisements - Part 2

A completely new car greeted buyers for 1933. From its rounded, lower roof, longer hood, and 115" wheelbase chassis to its new straight-8 engine, the 1933 Pontiac was changed.

The new "Body by Fisher" closed body styles featured "No-Draft" ventilation made possible by small ventipanes at the front of the front door glass. All ventipanes as well as the windshield glass was now of the laminated "Safety Glass" type that remained in one piece when fractured. Gone were the split grille radiator shell, but the hood side panel vents returned to the louver style.

The new Straight Eight engine displaced 223.4 c.i. and produced 77 hp. at 3,600 rpm.

Prices were again reduced, and sales responded by rising to pre-crash levels.

Pontiac production total: 90,198
