1930 Auburn Ads

For 1930 the Auburn Automobile Co. offered three different series as in 1929 with the same wheelbases. The major difference were the increases in horsepower across the board.

The 120 inch wheelbase 6-85 series was made up of a Cabriolet, Sport Sedan, and Sedan, set on a 120 inch wheelbase. The series was equipped with a 185 CID six cylinder engine rated at 70 horsepower at 2400 RPM.

The 125 inch wheelbase 8-95 series included a Cabriolet, Phaeton Sedan, Sport Sedan, and Sedan. The 8-95 series was equipped with a 247 CID eight cylinder engine rated at 100 horsepower at 3400 RPM.

The most luxurious series was the 8-125 (called 125 in marketing) with a 130 inch wheelbase. The models were also aligned like the two other series; Cabriolet, Sport Sedan, Sedan, and Phaeton Sedan. The 125 was powered by a 297 CID 8 cylinder developing 125 horsepower at 3600 RPM.

1930 Auburn production was 12,985.

The Lycoming I-8 in the Auburn was highly touted in 1930 - and the 125 HP it developed was a lot of ponies for its day.
