1972 Pontiac Full-size/Grand Prix/Ventura II Ads |
|||||
1972 was a year of mostly minor design and engineering changes for the entire Pontiac lineup. The full-sized line received a front bumper improvement and design change. The Grand Prix was given a slightly revised grille. Both lines were only made available with the TurboHydramatic, automatic transmission; for the first time, no manual transmissions were offered on the large models. The Ventura II, having been introduced in mid-year 1971, was left virtually untouched for '72. The Pontiac 350 cubic inch V8 was offered this year and a new, seldom-seen, fabric sliding roof opening treatment was put on the option list.
