For 1968 Plymouth did a complete restyle to the Belvedere/Satellite line, and it was an awesome succes - with almost 100,000 in sales increased! New for 1968 was the "Road Runner" a Satellite with a 383 and HD suspension - a poor man's muscle car. It was a PR sensation and a sales winner with 44,599 sold! The 440-engined GTX sales suffered as a result, but from a total sales perspective there was nothing to complain about. The Automotive History Preservation Society Digital Documents Library provides these materials for educational, or research, or personal use.
