For 1957, a new wraparound grille and larger taillights were the obvious changes on sedans and wagons. A four-door station wagon was also introduced in that year. A low priced Plain-Jane Scotsman model was introduced mid-year. The Scotsman had painted hub caps and grille and no side trim moldings. In 1957 directional signals were made standard on all models. The 1956 Flight Power and Sky Hawk models were replaced by the 1957 Silver Hawk models. Hawk models had large canted metal fins on the rear fenders and used the engine turned instrument panel concept introduced on the 1955 Speedster. The Silver Hawk 289 came only as a pillared coupe. The Golden Hawk came only as a hardtop. Standard on the Golden Hawk was a belt driven supercharger for its 289 CID V8. Production:
