Media kits were
typically packaged in a unique pocket folder that usually contained one
or more press releases, a quantity of glossy 8" x 10" photographs, a
sleeve of color transparencies, and perhaps a folder or brochure. Journalists utilized the releases to obtain story lines and specific information on the subject vehicle. The 2004 Pontiac GTO Hard Jacket Media Kit contained the following items:
