1953 Buick V-8 Ads |
|||||
The new V-8 introduced by Buick on its 50th anniversary was a dramatic offering. Buick engineers took the best attributes of the popular four valve racing cylinder heads of the day and used one side to create a very narrow engine for its displacement. The result was a 322 cu. in. V-8 that made an impressive 188 HP and delivered significant torque. Best, the smaller valves were lighter, alllowing more RPMs than many of their competitors.
