1969 Dodge Mid-Size Car Ads

While Dodge sales in total only dipped a bit in 1969, 607,452 to 608,030 in 1968, the Coronet brand was the biggest loser, dropping from 222,600 in 1968 to 203,400. (It was Dodge Dart sales that saved the loss - gaining almost 23,000).

But that didn't stop Dodge from touting their performance Coronet, with the "Super Bee". It was an upscale answer to the Road Runner, with a bit more panache. Many felt that only offering the Hemi and the 383 hurt sales - to this day one asks - If the Hemi - why not the 440-6? Guess what?  Mid-year They did! (see below).
