1964 Olds 330 V-8 Ads |
|||||
The introduction of the all new 330 V-8 was a big deal for Olds and the Industry. "Thin Wall" cast to reduce weight, the 330's 290 HP (soon to be 310-320) in 4-barrel trim was close to 1 HP per cu. in. - a magical number back then. Significant in the publicity was the modification of a 330 to power a Cesna Aircraft. The flight capability proved that the 290 HP version used was delivering very close to the flywheel figure of 290. |
