1964 Buick Skylark and Special Ads

For 1964 Buick's mid-sized car received an all new body, featuring the same frame/body construction as its big brother. It was larger, with almost 10" more in length and 3" more in the wheelbase - and it was powered by a new otional 300 cu. in. V8, which was a cast iron expansion of the old aluminum 215.

All told, this new car really hit the spot and in in production, it exceeded the 1963 car's totals 185,688 to 149,533. The biggest pickup was in the V8 Skylark line, where the car's excellent lines and larger size were really showed to perfection. Skylark production went from 42,321 to 72,504!
