1969 Grand Prix Ads Pt. 2

A performance version of the Grand Prix could be built around the Model SJ.

The Model SJ featured Pontiac's large-journal 428 cubic inch V8 in 370 and High Output 390 hp versions.

Weighing in at 3700 lbs., 428 H.O. Grand Prix was theoretically the quickest Pontiac of the '60s. A RAIV GTO, rated at 370 hp and weighing 3550, and the RAIV Firebird 400 registered 3300 lbs and 345 hp both had higher weight-to-power ratios than the GP SJ HO.

Out of the total of 112, 486 GPs built this year, 1,014 received a manual transmission.
