1988 Mercury Brochures and Foldouts

Sales Brochures are bound booklets that were distributed through authorized sales outlets. The method of binding was normally saddle stitching - stapled, or perfect binding - glued spine. For the most part, these brochures were given out free of charge. The prestige brochures were sometimes available in limited quantity and presented only to more serious sales prospects. In some cases they were redone on lesser quality paper and inserted into magazines.

Dealer Foldouts were handout or mail-distributed tools intended for sales and promotion purposes. Foldouts were also issued as salesman's informational tools such as fleet foldouts and accessories foldouts. Foldouts consisted of a single sheet of paper or card stock. These sheets were then folded one or more times. Since foldouts were comprised of one sheet, they did not utilize staples or stitches.
