1962 Chrysler 300H Owners Manual Supplement
Tweet

All new cars come with an owner's manual from the manufacturer. This process has been around since assembly line produced cars have been offered to the public. Most owners leave them in the car for easy reference. Their absence from the vehicle makes it difficult to use controls that aren't easily understood.

Many times, manufacturers will offer a supplementary manual for performance or unique models detailing the specialized features or options.

Owner's manuals have historically covered three main areas:

  • description of the location and operation of all controls;
  • Schedule and descriptions of maintenance required; and s
  • Specifications such as oil and fuel capacity and part numbers of light bulbs used.

Car owner's manuals have become larger and larger as vehicles have become more and more sophisticated.

The Automotive History Preservation Society Digital Documents Library provides these materials for educational, or research, or personal use. You should not republish these materials for financial gain without informing the original author or publisher.

The famous Chrysler 300 Series cars came with a supplimentary owner's manual.
