1966 Ford Ranchero
Enrique Perez, Jr's 1966 Ford Ranchero

At the May/June Goodguys show in Pleasanton, CA Wild About Cars came across this stunning orange Ranchero among the thousands of cars registered. The owner, Enrique Perez Jr. was justifiably proud of his truck and when we asked him to send us details about it, he responded with a very nice letter that shows the true family aspects of our hobby. We let Enrique tell the story of his Ranchero, so check it out.

Harv has owned the car since 1999. The car is mostly stock with  92K original miles on it. It is a true  W30.   1966 Corvette 327 300 HP & 427 435 HP Road Test

Car Life Magazine tested two diverse 1966 Corvettes in their August 1966 issue. One was a 425HP 427 convertible and the other a 300HP 327 coupe. Of course they were stunned but the convertible's awesome performance - but surprisingly, they liked the coupe even better. Read the article to see why.

1962 Grand Turismo Hawk Test   1962 Studebaker Hawk Gran Turismo Hawk Road Test

Nowadays we generally see Studebakers as dull family transport. But back in the early 60s, the South Bend Indiana boys were trying to inject some life into their car line by touting performance. In addition to the Avanti, one of the cars that was pushed as a sporty car was the Studebaker Hawk. See what Car Life Magazine has to say about this over-the-road hauler. You might be surprised.

1955 Olds S88 Ads
1955 Oldsmobile Ads - Everything about it says GO AHEAD!

The big news for 1955 at Oldsmobile was that the Super 88 was not just body style, but a factory hot rod. The higher HP Ninety-Eight series engine was slipped into the Eighty-Eight body to make the new "Super Eighty-Eight" or "S88" series. And a S88 buyer had more choice in this series than any other since there were four available body styles; 2 and 4-door sedans and 2 and 4-door hardtops Check out the Ads and the 1955 Olds Brochure!
