Goodguys Get together

Goodguys 36th All American Get-Together March 24-25, 2018 Pleasanton CA

by No Limits Staff

All winter long, the folks in northern California were prepping their rides for the Goodguys All American Get-Together. This is the kick-off to the year's round of shows and events. Well it rained !

But that was not enough to stop us from participating. The rain made the fairgrounds wet and made for interesting parking, but we came anyway, saw our friends, toweled off our rides and had a ball !

That's what Goodguys are all about!

36 Ford Woody Truck

1936 Ford Woody Truck and Boat by Pat Crusse

As seen at the Goodguys 36th All American Get-Together

by No Lmits staff
At the AmeriCarna Live car show for IGNITE just after Thanksgiving 2017, an unusual combination of striking objects was seen across from the VIP Lot.  A 1936 Ford Woody Truck towing a beautiful classic wooden speed boat.  Not your usual car show fare!  Approaching the truck, the woodwork was stunning.   There had to be a story behind this creation.

Pat Crusse restores wooden boats and is a craftsman of the highest order.  On his website, there were many documented restorations of classic pickup trucks.  His wife Shari had said, "No more trucks", so the dusty disassembled  '36 truck sat idly in a corner.  If he could not build a truck, Pat decided to improvise and in late November he cut the truck body off at the A pillar and he started a Woody Suburban of his own design!
