SEMA Members Companies Rally in Support for RPM Act - Featured Car: 1948 Chevrolet Fleetline - Classic Industries Releases 1969 Firebird Side Marker Lamps

RPM Demonstration In Washington

SEMA Members Companies Rally in Support for RPM Act Today!

by No Limits Staff

More than 110 representatives from SEMA-member companies are at the nation's capital to participate in SEMA's 2018 Washington Rally, Today - Wednesday, May 16.

During this special SEMA event, SEMA member companies will urge Congress to pass H.R. 350/S.203, the Recognizing the Protection of Motorsports (RPM) Act. The bipartisan bill would protect Americans' right to modify street vehicles into dedicated racecars and the industry's right to sell the parts that enable racers to compete. More than 180 members of Congress have cosponsored the RPM Act, and the number continues to grow.

Some guys can do it all – George Pavel IV's 1948 Chevrolet Fleetline Aerosedan

by Tweed Vorhees - Contributing Editor

It is always a treat to meet someone who has the skills (and patience) to tackle a full build/resto of their project car. Such is George Pavel IV of Bainesville, OH. George's project car is his 1948 Chevrolet Fleetline Aerosedan. This was Chevrolet's best selling model in 1948 with more than 220,000 sold. George had some big plans for his Fleetline.

It sounds incredible, but George did all the work (except final paint and upholstery) in his home garage. His garage is like most of us in that it has NO lift or rotisserie ! Just jack stands, floor jack and creepers.
